The pictures of Donnie’s shitty Wayfair dresser are lost to time, but here’s our thrifted dresser, which we repainted (using one of our tester paint pots!).
We don’t have pics of the original laundry basket (because honestly why would we?), but this is the new one. Not sure if they’re still at Home Goods, but I saw them on multiple trips, so there’s still a chance. It’s infinitely more useful and less ugly than the original.
We love this loveseat. Unsurprisingly, at the time of this posting, World Market is having a 40% off furniture sale. They don’t sell this exact loveseat anymore, but here’s something similar in a more neutral color. Or, if you actually have enough space for a full-size sofa, this one is a lot like our loveseat.
In case we did a bad job of explaining Phase 1, here’s a blog post where Young House Love lays out their idea.
These are the curtains I was considering from Urban Outfitters. It’s not that they’re not the right curtains for anybody, but they certainly wouldn’t have been right for us, especially for the price. Our curtains work just fine, and I definitely wouldn’t hesitate to change them out if our needs change.
This is the rug that we swapped out after painting the bedroom. We were able to sell it on AptDeco (which we’ll discuss in an upcoming episode) and make basically the amount of money we spent on the new rug.
Here’s a link to the exact shams we bought. As you can see, they come in a number of colors. I would definitely recommend them if you’re going for a neutral color you can use over and over again (I would probably do gray), but the pink isn’t going to translate for us, and I regret spending so much. But the flap on the side is a really cool idea, and this is the first place I’ve seen it.
Most of our posters used to be hanging on clips, kind of like this one. Also, notice how much darker that wall color looks in the hallway than in the living room? That’s why you need to swatch in different light conditions!
Now we have our posters framed, which is a serious upgrade. Here’s a link to this frame. And I bought two of these poster frames, one in white and one in gray.
The random art on the right looked so good in the frame that we upgraded it to the gallery wall in the living room.
