Instagram has spoken, and the mannequin hand is officially the weirdest thing in our apartment. If you missed our discussion with my brother about all our weirdest stuff, check out episode 40.
We first discussed growing citrus indoors in episode 29. That tree is dead, but we got another one from Citrus.com. To make this grow light setup, we used this bulb, this timer, this cord kit, and this shade.
Our kitchen stool from Elephant’s Trunk (which we talk all about in episode 37) is working out better than we could have hoped. I even sit on it when we record the podcast now.
Painting the bedroom black meant that all the black frames on the gallery wall needed updating. I painted some and decoupaged others to create more contrast.

This was also a good lesson in shopping your own apartment, since all the materials for the project were things we already had. We cover that idea in episode 13.
I’ve been going back and forth on these pink shams since I bought them, but I think I’ve finally made peace with them now that the bedroom is black. They’re here to stay.
We refinished this dressed we bought at Housing Works, and an added bonus is that it also works as a secretary. It’s where I work from home sometimes and now where we record the podcast.
