We decided to go with this two-tier drying rack over on the rolling cart to see if we could fundamentally improve our dish situation.
If you have a plastic utensil holder and want to avoid that grimy mess on the bottom, this is the metal drying cup we almost purchased.
This is the drying rack I’ve seen on sustainable housewares websites. We knew it would be too small for us, so we went with something from Amazon.
Moving the drying rack to the rolling cart meant we had to move the microwave to the counter, which has actually made it easier to plug it in and microwave rather than needing to roll the cart over and rotate it every time.

This bag came with a pair of shoes I bought, and I held on to it so I could find a use for it. We decided to hang it between our oven mitts to hold towels so we could create more room in the drawer they used to be in.
To make even more space in that drawer, we bought this vintage aluminum foil holder on Etsy. We’re storing aluminum foil, waxed paper, and parchment paper in here.
