If you missed our brief mention of maybe possibly doing a hallway project, check out episode 74.
This picture from Mindfully Gray was our inspiration for the project.
We’ve used removable wallpaper once before, which we talked about in episode 63.
This is how that project turned out.
For this project, Donnie really wanted to use this toucan wallpaper, but I vetoed it.
We bought a number of wallpaper samples, including three colorways of this peony print.
We also tried out both Moody Bloom and Moody Floral.
Shibori Clouds was nice but too close to the color of the wall.
And we were afraid this ribbon pattern would look too pink against the taupe.
We ordered our lumber from Home Depot because they offered delivery to our apartment.
We also bought this poplar sawdust off Etsy so that if we decide to stain, we can mix up a wood filler that will stain more closely to the color of the wood.
The painted lumber wasn’t our favorite option with any of the samples. We ordered three different samples of ECOS craft stain.
We liked the dark smoke with the white and navy wallpapers.
The special walnut looked good with all of them.
And though I am terrified of how red the spiced pecan looks, Donnie really likes it.
We can’t make a decision yet, though, because we have five more wallpaper samples coming from Mitchell Black. This is the post from Blessed Little Bungalow that introduced me to the brand.
